Belper Community Transport (BCT) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to support people in the Belper and DE56 area who find it difficult to access conventional transport. Whether you don’t drive, have mobility needs, or struggle with limited public transport, we’re here to help you stay connected to your community.
Our service provides affordable, accessible, and friendly transport for individuals and groups — run entirely by volunteers from Belper and the surrounding area.
BCT operates a small fleet of comfortable and reliable vehicles to suit a range of needs:
Ford Tourneo Connect WAV – Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle for individual or small-group journeys.
Nissan Leaf – 100% electric hatchback for eco-friendly local travel.
Ford Grand Freedom WAV – Spacious wheelchair-accessible option for up to 4 passengers a driver and a wheelchair.
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Minibus – Ideal for community groups and larger outings (up to 8 passengers).
All vehicles are fully insured, maintained to a high standard, and can be self driven or driven by trained, friendly volunteers.
If you live in the DE56 area and need help getting around, you can become a BCT member.
Membership costs £25 per year, and journeys are available at £6 per hour.

Local non-profit groups can also join BCT to use our minibuses and vehicles for outings, meetings, and events.
Alternatively, individual members can book the minibus for small group trips of up to 8 people.
